Envelope Supplier

As smart consumers, most of us will shop around until we find just the right company to offer us exactly what we need, at the fairest price we are able to pay. Once we find someone with whom we can do an ongoing business, just the right company we know will treat us as we should be treated and give us the highest quality product for the best price, and value us as one of their important regular customers, we usually will stick with that company or vendor. Just makes good sense, all ‘round.

This is true across the board, usually, no matter the product. It is no different with your stationery needs and if you find an envelope supplier, for example, that does the job just right and does so without breaking your bank, you will certainly go back to them when you need more. Why wouldn’t you? You are a smart and savvy businessperson.

A good envelope supplier is certainly worth the effort required to search them out. That search, in fact, is all part of just the right way to ensure that you are getting the best product for your money and, in the long run, you will be happy that you took the time and made the effort to find a symbiotic business relationship. Such interactions are worth that company’s bottom line . . . and yours.

So what is it that you should be looking for when you are sleuthing out your best bet for an envelope supplier? What sort of print company do you want to set up a relationship with and get to know? That is what you are looking for . . . a company that gets to know your needs and second-guesses them before you even put in an order. A company that can suggest changes or alterations or let you know ahead of time of an upcoming special—consistently adding even a few extra pennies to your pocket, or a company that will give you a discount on some orders simply because you are loyal to them. That is what is important. The loyalty that comes from trust and a trust that comes from knowing your envelope supplier is always looking out for your best interests because you are one of their best customers.

This really isn’t a unique concept, though it is one which has often been forgotten in today’s fast-paced, never-staying-in-one-place society. Back in the “old days,” we would live in one place most if not all of our lives. We would shop at the local stores, visit with the same neighbors, and eat out at the same restaurants. All of these people would get to know us, and we would get to know them. This would go on for years and years, most often throughout the rest of our, or their, lives—whoever lived the longest.

It’s different now, though, because so many of us move around, rarely staying in one place for a long period of time. The idea of a “neighbor,” whether business or personal, is different in today’s society. We don’t hold down jobs as long. We don’t put loyalty and friendship on the top of our lists when we are thinking of companies who may supply us all the products we need for business, and for daily life. That’s not to say we could not do so and in the process learn a bit from those “old days.”

For example, if it is an envelope supplier we need, it’s quite likely we don’t have an envelope supplier we have regularly gone to in the past. Still, we can start today to begin a solid relationship with a good envelope supplier, and through the miracle of the internet, no matter where we may live, now and into tomorrow, we can continue to grow our relationship with that company whether we live next door or around the world. The truth of today’s marketplace is that we may never meet face-to-face that person with whom we do business, but we can still grow to expect the best out of them, and respect and appreciate their great professionalism.

What is it we will look for in our long-term relationship with an envelope supplier? We will need a company that is capable of turning over to us a high-quality product, envelopes that look good and present well, and hold up to the rigors of the mail system. We require an envelope supplier that offers us a variety of design options, and the chance to do the designing ourselves . . . this company must understand that our creativity extends to every faction of our business. We have to have an envelope supplier that gets the fact that these are tight times, and our budget has to stretch quite far. What that envelope supplier gives us has to be top quality for bottom dollar. And last, at least until we think of something else, that envelope supplier must get our product back to us in the shortest turnaround time—we design, we pay, and they send. Just about that easy.

Easy? Isn’t that a lot to ask out of any envelope supplier . . . any supplier of any product, for that matter? Not really. It isn’t anything more than we have ever wanted. The big difference is that now it’s a buyer’s market and if a prospective customer has the money to pay for a service, it is certainly in the best interest of any capable service provider to give them the best they have to offer. In doing so, that service provider—in our case, that envelope supplier—is exhibiting the most solid and long-living tenets of good business. They are showing that they understand the value of an ongoing and trusting solid business relationship, and they are not only willing, but eager, to do what they need to do to see to it that their customers come back not only a few times, but year after year after year.

If you find quality at a good price in your envelope supplier, you would be foolish to go anywhere else. You are not foolish, are you? Harken back to the old days and take from solid business history those long-standing components which work best even into today’s world . . . the concept of good products for a fair price, an interplay of consideration for each other—both envelope supplier and customer, trust that both company and product will be there when you need it at all times of day or night . . . and a sense of deeply imbedded trust that your choice of envelope supplier is the best envelope supplier for your needs, day in and day out.

Last, ensure that the all-important quality of abiding loyalty holds true from you to your envelope supplier, and back again. You will always pay them fair trade for the best product they can supply to you, and they will always supply to you the best product available. They will continue to be the best envelope supplier on the map, in your book, whether they are next door to your office, or somewhere half-way around the globe. It doesn’t matter today, as long as all the old-fashioned important ethical issues are covered.
